From what I hear they're going to be doing so kind of ahead of time play testing with the "D&D Community".

Are you looking forward to giving it a go?

Haha. One can only hope for the best.

D&D (including Pathfinder, since it's essentially same thing) is by far the most popular RPG out there. If 5e makes people happy, it should bring with it a jolt of life back to the gaming world.

4e was balanced, and it was quite popular on these boards when it came out in 2006 or so, but it did away with a lot of the traditional elements that made D&D what it was. I think their goal for 5e is to restore the old-school feel while maintaining balance. Fingers crossed.
